Quite a humorous, somewhat tongue in cheek biography with instructive illustrative games. Here I went for 5 stars instead of 4 because of Thinkers Publishing’s customer-friendly gesture to let me have a more expensive perfect German copy since they had only one imperfect Dutch one left. In fact they had offered me a choice of ANY book in replacement to compensate for the mild inconvenience, but I wanted Van der Weide’s story, so I stuck with my choice. I’d call that very laudable service coupled with business acumen. 😉
